Event #4

posted 20 May 2010 01:21 by Adrian Good

Event #4 saw all 10 seats filled for the final event.  The current tournament leader was on a boat using his mobile to connect, which goes to show you can connect via many  methods.  Although it was quite laggy  he got a few hands in.

The first few hands were uneventful, but pooper and adonis got into a raising and re-raising war with Adonis taking the hit.

** Pot Show Down ** [5h 3s 9d Ts 4h]
Adonis shows [Jc Tc] (a Pair of Tens +J95)
pooper shows [7d 6d] (a Straight, Three to Seven)
pooper wins Pot (350) with a Straight

With the blinds at 10/20 the stack sizes remained fairly even with the stacks between 4130 and 5100, but it was early days in this event.

Murray took a nice scoop in a 3 way pot when 2 pair won a tidy pot of 640
** Pot Show Down ** [As 6h 9c 5s Tc]
Murray shows [Ah 9h] (Two Pair, Aces and Nines +T)
TealStryker shows [8c Ac] (a Pair of Aces +T98)
dazzla shows [Ad 3c] (a Pair of Aces +T96)
Murray wins Pot (640) with Two Pair

Next a big pot developed between jackal, 4fives, murray and dazzla.  A pot worth 930 chips.  4fives took that one down with a set of 7's

With the blinds at 25/50 we lost Murray who disconnected from the server for a number of hands.  He eventually returned.

By the 20th hand 4fives was putting in a strong performance running his stack up to about 6K.  Our sitting out leader had only lost 60 chips from a few blinds.  dazzla had taken a hit going down to 2600 chips.

Hand #25 saw a massive 6 way pot develop to the turn, 3 way to the river, dazzla took a monster 3050 chip pot when he rivered a straight.

** Flop ** [Kd 5c 2h]
** Turn ** [3c]
** River ** [4c]
** Pot Show Down ** [Kd 5c 2h 3c 4c]
dazzla shows [Ah 5d] (a Straight, Ace to Five)
jackal shows [Kc 8d] (a Pair of Kings +854)
Arquell shows [Kh Ks] (Three of a Kind, Kings +54)
dazzla wins Pot (3050) with a Straight

Several hands later, it was Murray's turn to take a monster pot and the chip lead.
** Pot Show Down ** [Ad Qd 7h 4d Jc]
Murray shows [Qc As] (Two Pair, Aces and Queens +J)
dazzla shows [Th 5d] (High Card Ace +QJT7)
Young_Caesar shows [Ah Kh] (a Pair of Aces +KQJ)
Murray wins Pot (3750) with Two Pair

After the 30th all 10 players remained and the chip counts were (blinds 75/150)
Seat 4: dazzla (9425)
Seat 1: Murray (6445)
Seat 9: pooper (6320)
Seat 3: spIIr0 (4340) - sitting out
Seat 6: Adonis (4330)
Seat 7: Young_Caesar (3475)
Seat 8: 4fives (3310)
Seat 2: TealStryker (2820)
Seat 5: jackal (2725)
Seat 10: Arquell (1810)

Then on a board of 663TJ, Young_Ceaser took a pot worth 7425 when his underpair of 99 took it down.

** Pot Show Down ** [6s 6c 3c Ts Jc]
Murray shows [8h 8d] (Two Pair, Eights and Sixes +J)
dazzla shows [4c 4d] (Two Pair, Sixes and Fours +J)
Young_Caesar shows [9c 9s] (Two Pair, Nines and Sixes +J)
Young_Caesar wins Pot (7425) with Two Pair

Young_Caesar took another huge pot virtually back to back increasing his stack to 14950 chips, and proceeded to use his big stack to raise and re-raise pre-flop and generally bully the table into submission.

In back to back hands, arquell and jackal finished to hands of Murray.

After hand #40 the chip counds were...(blinds 100/200/25)
Seat 7: Young_Caesar (12600)
Seat 4: dazzla (8680)
Seat 1: Murray (8225)
Seat 9: pooper (5570)
Seat 2: TealStryker (2920)
Seat 3: spIIr0 (2665)
Seat 6: Adonis (2330)
Seat 8: 4fives (2010)

Dazzla with his rag hands like 64o, 39o and 36o cleaned up a number of pots going to show that his unpredictable play is a winning style for him.  Dazzla is showing that any 2 cards can and will win.  He is a force to be reckoned with.

With the majority of the chips hanging around dazzla, young_Caesar and 4fives it didnt take long for murray and pooper to exit.  pooper did put up a fight being forced all in with the blinds and antes, but getting lucky a few times he was able to stay in for just a few more hands but eventually finished on the bubble on hand #57.

Congrats to 4fives, Young_Caesar and dazzla for making the final 3 and winning some chips in the process.

Dazzler finished in 3rd place and won 2000 chips on hand #63

Event #3 - Correction

posted 20 May 2010 01:20 by Adrian Good

There was a mistake in the event wrap up report.  Whilst 4fives and jackal were both all in in a hand with Christoo, it was incorrectly reported that 4fives came last.  This was not the case, technically (and as reported by the server), Jackal came in 8th position and 4fives in 7th position.  The leaderboard and hall of shame have been updated to reflect this change.

Event #3

posted 20 May 2010 01:19 by Adrian Good

Jase started quickly and was off to an early lead, chipping up to 4500 by cracking pooper's aces with a rag straight and hitting a flush against Christoo's trips.

Christoo and SpIIr0 took the early hit losing about 30% of their stacks in the first 10 hands

Aces took a bit of a beating tonight and Christoo wiped away his early loss when his flush took down 4fives AA.

pooper took another hit when his KK was cracked by not 1 but 2 straights.

Dazzler came out of nowhere and picked up some serious pace chipping up to 7.5K in the first 20 hands.

The first one to exit was 4fives and jackal.  Bot by the hand of Christoo. in a huge pot

Next Jase fell, followed by pooper.

4 handed Christoo dominated with his big chip stack and run of good cards.  The blinds and antes were at 400/800/50 meaning there was no time left for selective play.  Eventually dazzla succomed to Christoo, who takes first place and adds his name to the hall of fame with 5 KO's.  Honerable mention to Dazzla who took 2 KO's

Event #2 saw four players and one sit out go for the title.  The blinds started at 50/100 which was probably a little too high to start with, but it comes with the demo software.  Play started closer to 8pm so the tournament might start a little later from now on.

First to fall was christoo in a 3 way pot with murray and pooper.

** Side Pot 1 Show Down ** [9s 9c Ad 3d 8h]

** Pot Show Down ** [6h 2s Qc Qd Th]
